EXTRACTOPIA is research that looks into the extraction machine of the "Los Pelambres" copper mine in the Región of Coquimbo, Chile. With landscape transformations of unprecedented scale, we look at the four environmental liabilities sites and unpack the infrastructures that enable them.

The research is supported by Columbia University GSAPP and its Incubator prize.
